Founded in 2014, Hiyacar is the UK's longest trading peer-to-peer car-sharing platform operating with over 180,000 members throughout the country. The smart service allows car owners to make money by renting their cars to a vetted community of drivers. I am updating this after one year + and even thou hiyacar is great the owners are an issue in term's of cancelling bookings made same day or next day mostly. I had three cancelled in a very short space of time, obviously they needed the car possibly themselves. Personally i nearly returned for this trip to sixt as I was very angry about my time being wasted as its one of the most precious assets one has
HIYACAR i sincerely hope you are limiting how many bookings a car holder can cancel in a month/year. Its killing your great idea, thats the only issue.
Efficient, easy to use and cost effective
I’ve used Hiyacar twice now and both experiences have been great. It’s perfect for Londoners who, most of the time don’t need a car, but might require one for a special trip- I went camping, and then to visit my parents.
The whole booking process is really simple, much much easier than using one of the big hire car agencies. Not only is it much cheaper, but more convenient as you can return at a time of your choosing, and often the location is close to home. Brilliant app it’s been a game changer for me!
Great car hire service from Hiyacar
A friend told me about this service and said they used it for a long time when they needed it before they bought a second car. Getting verified took a very short time and the fee was given back as credit for first hire I believe. Great response times to queries when I had a few things I didn’t know what to do with being my first time. Clean car too. Will be using them again.
