Drive away for Valentine’s Day

Cupid has his bow and arrow at the ready, and Valentine’s Day is nearly upon us…

Looking to spend the day doing something different with that special person in your life? Thinking of getting away but don’t have your own car? Why not hiya one, and drive away for the day?

A few ideas could be:

1. Fish and chips by the sea

OK, it may not feel like summer, but what can beat wrapping up and taking a stroll along the beach, finished with fish and chips by the sea? It’s always nice to be beside the seaside, and you are guaranteed to beat the summer tourists and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings.

2. A walk in the countryside

Get away from the daily routine of work and home-life and take a ride to the countryside. Britain is known as the green and pleasant land, and what better way to enjoy it than to take a stroll with your loved one for Valentine’s Day.

3. Visit a castle

Britain also has no shortage of castles or stately homes, so if you are not feeling brave enough to venture out in the cold, add a little romance in beautiful surrounding while keeping warm inside.

4. A city day out

Even if you live in a city, each one is different. Why not treat your loved one to a city break, walk around and take in the local architecture, a bit of shopping, followed by a spot of lunch in a local restaurant.

5. Overnight stay in a hotel

If you really want to push the boat out, why not take a drive out to a nice hotel and spa and spend the night. Total relaxation without the worry of having to leave in a hurry. Perfect surroundings with your perfect one, and a Valentine’s Day to remember.
