1. Bewilderwood (2hr 45minutes from London)
Bewilderwood is a family adventure park and ideal for children aged 2–12 years old. Located just outside Wroxham, it is far from commercialised and encourages kids to take explore the outdoors by climbing trees and building dens. 2. Port Lympne Reserve (1hr 44minutes from London)
Port Lympne Reserve is a conservation charity dedicated to protecting wildlife. They have over 600 acres of wildlife and they home over 700 rare and endangered animals. Just a short drive away from Dover, Port Lympne even has overnight options, you can go glamping or stay in their Tiger Lodge.

3. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard (1hr 50min from London)
If you are looking for a more educational trip you could go to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and see the HMS Alliance which is Britain’s only remaining World War 11 submarine. You can also see the HMS Victory which is the Royal Navy’s most famous warship. The Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is ideal for children aged 5 and over. Not only can they see the war ships but they can also climb the UK’s tallest indoor climbing tower and take part in a Laser Quest game.
