Renewal and expansion of motor fleet insurance

Hiyacar, the UK’s leading peer-to-peer car sharing and vehicle access platform, has announced the renewal and expansion of its motor fleet insurance with Aon, effective 1 November 2025.

The updated insurance framework is designed to make car sharing more accessible, flexible, and secure for both drivers and vehicle owners, while supporting Hiyacar’s continued growth across the UK.

Key improvements include:

• Broader vehicle coverage – enabling more premium and specialist vehicles to be shared safely through the platform.
• Expanded driver eligibility – allowing qualified international drivers and residents with overseas licences to participate, strengthening inclusivity and user growth.
• Streamlined onboarding – easing restrictions for new drivers who meet verified safety and experience criteria.
• Greater claims resilience – direct management of claims by the end insurer ensures a quicker, more transparent experience for members.
