GetAround has operated in the UK since 2019, entering the UK market through its acquisition of Drivy. To say the years since have been difficult for the UK car-sharing industry would be somewhat of an understatement.
Car-sharing is an evolving and growing industry and it is saddening, but not surprising, to hear of another player in the UK ceasing operations.

Rent a Car
We aim to make the whole booking process as quick and easy as possible
- Sign up and complete your driving profile. Don’t forget to have your driving licence handy. You’ll need to pay a £9.49 verification fee but once you’ve passed our verification process, the fee paid will be credited towards your first booking
- Install our mobile app and start browsing for your perfect car nearby
- Request to book that car. If it is an Instant Book it will be immediately confirmed, if not wait to hear back from the owner.
- Follow the instructions in the app to locate and collect your car, recording its condition. If the car has our QuickStart™ tech you’ll use our app to lock & unlock the car throughout your booking.
