Hiyacar launch party

On Wednesday 28th June we had our official launch party so that we could tell everyone about HiyaCar QuickStart our keyless technology.

Keyless technology from QuickStart enables HiyaCar members to access vehicles without having to get the keys from the owners.

In the past, someone would request a car, the owner would then confirm the booking and the two people would meet at the car for the key handover.

But this started to become problematic, we were noticing a trend for on demand bookings and many of them couldn’t go ahead because they were too short notice and the owner was not able to do the key handover.

The QuickStart technology means a mobile phone can be used to unlock the car and a dead key, which is useless without the mobile phone being close by, is left in the car to start the vehicle.

At the launch party our CTO Marc Roberts did a live demonstration of QuickStart in front of our audience. We used a car that is owned by one of our regular car owners and Marc opened up his car and started the engine all through the app.
