"The vehicle drove really well, economical on fuel and spacious inside. We stopped the car for a period of time on 2 occasions. On both of the occasions when restarting we had issues. There was a delay / issue with the engine engaging - this was a stressful the first time it happened as we thought we’d be stranded. However when it happened the second time we knew what to do so felt in control. When dropping the car off the app stated the car was “locked” and the rental was over. However the doors were clearly still open and when tried were opened. Hiya car were quick in responding to both issues, and were able to reset the car to allow us to drive, and to lock the car remotely when the box failed. If/ when these issues get resolved the car would be a 5/5! We had a really good experience in terms of instant book, car was easy to find and parking on return was just as easy as promised in description (which you don’t often get!)"

"Serious problems involving the quick start system. I had to lock the car and unlock it whilst stalled in the middle of the road! I almost was late in returning the car because of these issues. I raised it with HiyaCar and was not offered any consideration."
