There are also brilliant visitor attractions, including museums, galleries, historic architecture and art installations.

Mayfield Lavender Farm

This insta-worthy farm is home to huge fields full of lavender, and the effect is truly mesmerising. The 25-acre farm is open to the public throughout the summer months, and visitors can meander through fields of lavender at their leisure. There’s also a cafe, and tractor rides and tours are available.

Nonsuch Park

Nonsuch Park surrounds what once was Nonsuch Palace. The area was once a deer-hunting park, and it harks back to the days of Henry VIII. Today the park is widely used by runners, cyclists and walkers, who are free to enjoy the fantastic green spaces available here. There’s even a weekly 5km run for fitness enthusiasts.

Whitehall

Sutton’s Whitehall is a Tudor house museum, which was constructed in 1500. The museum is free to enter, and takes visitors on a journey back in time to the Tudor era. There’s a hall, parlour, kitchen and gallery space to explore, as well as exhibitions about the former Nonsuch Palace.
