"I’m a big fan of Hiyacars but this recent hire wasn’t my best experience. First, the check in which is normally seamless didn’t work - it asked me to contact the company before it would proceed and of course it’s not easy. Second, the gauge indicated there was tyre pressure problem which isn’t the most comforting. This continued for three days. Third, on two occasions after the car rental started the car wouldn’t start. This was a major concern as we were in the country side. As luck with have it the motor started after we tried to turn on the ignition repeatedly a few times over several minutes. Finally, the car really needed a wash although that was the least of our problem."

"Car has several problems. Not starting unless I was locking and unlocking the car through the app. Key remote won’t lock the car( perhaps because of flat battery)"

"Had just been cleaned. Clutch takes a moment to get used to and the immobiliser is a bit of a pain as you need to unlock via your phone just to restart the car. Otherwise, a very comfortable drive"

"I’m afraid I didn’t have a positive experience of this car, the app (which opens and shuts the car in this case, a system we really didn’t like or find user friendly) played up more times than I can remember which lead to a lot of stress as we had a baby with us on our mini break. Additionally the car dashboard had a ‘service needed’ symbol blinking at me the whole week which was very unnerving. Shame as I really rate the peer to peer car sharing concept and the customer service team was great but unfortunately our experience was still very problematic. I hope they sort out the issues."

"Didn't meet the owner but the process was smooth. The car was a bit dirty on pickup however I informed hiyacar about this straight away and they asked if I was able to get it cleaned after use and they would reimburse me. I asked how much for my time as well as the hassle and as it would need to be done during my booking with no response. First time booking with hiyacar, would use again"

"The car was not particularly nice to drive. It did not respond to the app all the time and the alarm liked to set itself off. We were disappointed that, when we wanted to extend our booking by just 24 hours, we were charged 1/3 the cost for the entire week."
