"My booking was accepted and confirmed almost instantly, even though I booked around midnight and six hours before picK up. Brand new, low emission-petrol, excellent drive, economical, GPS, USB port, used it with my family of four and it was super smooth on and off the motorway under heavy rains. Will definitely check first the availability of Joe's fleet for my next booking. "

Had to phone Hiyacar 3 times to try to track and open car being told on each occasion that I would have to go on website and use chat as operator could not answer my queries and chat option not on app. "

"First car had a flat battery so unusable. 1 hour and 15 mins after my booking had started I was in another car which delayed me hugely on it outbound journey and whuch added time to my inbound trip as it was further away from my home. Never heard from the owner (Joe who seems to own a whole fleet of cars) and Hiyacar only gave me £10 off the car hire plus a £6 one way cab ride to get to the second car. Massive inconvenience with minimal compensation for the total hassle caused "

"First of all, Joe was great. He provided a better service than Hiya Car customer service. Picking up and returning the car was very frustrating as Hiya Car made it difficult however they promised to give back 50% of booking and plus the cab fare. Joe was very helpful and checked on me at times. Thank you Joe for providing excellent service. Would rent from you again."

"very good customer service. easy to book. but I will suggest hiya car if they make pick up presses easy way via mobile app. as if car engine off for 10 min from app need to unlock then start engine as I found few times problem like that. i know it's a secury reason but as all customer will have car key as soon they pick up car. so hope hiyacar make it easy. apart from that everything very good 👍🏻"

"Really difficult from start to finish the app was not working properly and it was impossible to obtain any help when I couldn’t start the car. I really do think with a previous hybrid car a couple of basic instructions would’ve been great before I got to the car or just on those two cards you got hanging up just something that telling you where the bloody footbrake and handbrake as it used to be called but it’s just ridiculous it took me over an hour to get the car moving which meant I didn’t go to the destination I’m planning to last night waste of money the whole thing afternoon I wouldn’t of booked. To add insult to injury the app is telling me 20 to 15 the car is due back and then suddenly hit 2130 so I hope I’m not gonna get charged a late fee and I’ve left 3 pounds for the petrol because "

"I'm afraid I didn't meet Joe so its hard to comment, however, the car was where it was supposed to be and it was quite clean inside and out, not spotless, hence Joe lost a star for that. Taking the photos is a drag but I guess it needs to be done. On the whole it went fine, once I got started and got the hang of using my mobile to unlock the car (impressive technology really!) it went well I chose the Yaris for two reasons, first I want to be eco friendly, second, this car is amazingly close to where I live.
