"The app kept crashing when I was trying to pick up the car.
Eventually live chat was able to unlock it for me (they were as helpful as they could be with unresponsive tech support at their end). Later I was able to download the app on a different phone which worked.
It was incredibly stressful as I was trying to get to my sister's wedding. On a day with train strikes.
They've gave me a £15 credit for the distress. This seemed basically fine when I thought it was an issue with my phone. However, later in the day they sent a notification to everyone saying the app had a bug and we needed to delete and redownload an old version.
No one has reached out to take responsibility for what happened or to apologise. I don't consider the £15 credit adequate and I am considering my options for future hiring.
The car would have been better if android auto had actually worked when I plugged my phone into the USB port. Otherwise the car was fine."
