"Location is very good for me, if it was cheaper I would use it much often but £63 per day is a bit steep. It comes with an USB cable to connect to android auto but thst didn't work for me, no problem as I have my own cable. Location is also next to a petrol station which is ideal"

"I booked one of Hiyacar’s own cars. So was given a purple branded Vauxhall Corsa.
Let’s start with the positive: price. Definitely cheaper at the time of booking than traditional car hire companies. Also convenient (whenever the key actually works, see below).
I’m very much in the know about tech and have used another company called Virtuo before. Even though they are considerably more expensive than Hiyacar, at least the cars are not branded and the technology is flawless.
I encountered so many problems with the bluetooth technology in the Hiyacar, that I do not believe I will use them again. The highlight was when I was about to leave a luxury hotel and the car wouldn’t start for 10 minutes with an error message “key not detected” even though I was in the car and pointing the key (phone) at the sensor. The staff and other guests didn’t understand why I wouldn’t move the purple car for 10 minutes!!!"

"Hiyacar is a great concept. However, while I know I need to replace petrol used, it’s really difficult to judge what a full tank minus 80 miles or so costs, so for the last couple of times I’ve ended up filling the tank which means I effectively lose money. Please could Hiyacar think about asking everybody to fill the tank after they’ve used the car, then this problem could be avoided. This is particularly important nowadays given the high cost of fuel."

"Good concept but I think the implementation could have been better. Car locking & unlocking via app is the biggest pain point in my opinion. On this trip I was forced to contact customer support 3 or 4 times just for this reason. I was anxious throughout the trip and couldn't fully enjoy it."

"Nothing worked. It took 15mins to unlock the car, with being on and off with helpdesk people on the chat. Then the same story when I wanted to bring the car back, 'no key detected' all the time. Even as I finally drove... If engine swicthed off at the traffic lights or something, I'd be stuck there with no way to drive. Such a stressful experience - and the system just seems to not work. :("
