"App misdirected pick up to Walsingham road and not Reighton road. When arriving at car hiyacar app kept crashing and car would not open. Took nearly an hour of wasted time and made me extremely late. Not ideal."

"Great car, great location - easy to find and pickup and good pickup procedures.
Only issue is having to use a phone to lock / unlock the car.. At one point, we spent over an hour trying to unlock the car in sweltering 32 degrees. The phone would just not connect to the car. 5 reboots later, and eventually the phone connected.
All other car hire companies have physical cards to unlock so you don't need an app. but I don't believe this is an option for hiya.
Not sure what happens if you phone runs out of battery, is stolen or damaged while you are away...

"The app is a nightmare. I was in an area with poor to no reception and the app kept crashing, forcing me to sign in again. You can only lock and unlock with the app, so I had to wait 10+ mins to get into the car on multiple occasions. The car was good. The insurance excess coverage is too high. It is £1-£6 per day at zip."
