"Booking the car was so simple and easy and it served our purposes well. Unfortunately we did have a few issues when charging. Firstly, the instructions provided in the app were a little vague and didn’t seem to matter in the end - the car didn’t need to be locked/unlocked in a particular sequence in order to charge up and that ended up being confusing. In the end, it was a youtube video that was provided by Hiyacar help that cleared up our confusion. Secondly, the All Star card didn’t work on any of the charging stations we went to as it doesn’t appear to have contactless capabilities, which meant we had to use our own card. Thirdly, the hinge of the charging port door had been broken by someone in the past so didn’t function properly and should be replaced. Aside from that we had a great trip!"

"This car only managed to travel half it's estimated distance at the start of the jurnet before it needed charging. In addition it's battery charging is limited to 70% of it's change capacity which is even more irritating! You are limited to only specific charging points which increases the frustration even more! Avoid this car!"

"Carplay just refused to work despite trying lots of different cables. Then I decided to use the built in sat nav and the GPS wasnt tracking the car.
Finally when returning the car I had to try it 4 times before it worked including a few times I had set of the alarm (how??)"

"The car sleeps in the street... not connected to a charger so the charge you will find in the car is random. This time I was lucky to have 86% SOC but I have been way less lucky other times.
They definitely should give you the car with a minimum charge "guaranteed".
But the rest was very good, the car is fairly new and clean. They are good renters."

"Making time to charge this car is very difficult"

"The car is great and a very smooth drive but it was my first electric car and I didn’t quite think through the consequences.
First even though it’s advertised as a 200 mile range, when I picked it up it was just under 50% full. So when I messaged the owner he said I needed to recharge it.
He recommended a specific app / organisation - the nearest point was 10 mins drive away according to the app. When I arrived, it didn’t exist - the app was wrong.
I then tried another point nearby, had to charge it with £15, and then it didn’t work. It was a slow charge anyway, so I would have had to wait there for at least 15 mins to charge anything decent.
In the end I ran out of time and drove home with hardly any charge remaining in the battery, which was very stressful.
So… electric car great in theory but only if the owner gives it to you fully charged and doesn’t expect you to spend quite a lot of time recharging it."

Tricky to recharge as need to plan around it somewhat but saved money"
