Things to do in Kingston
For the times when you want to use your feet instead of your hiyacar, consider a guided walk around Kingston. Every Sunday they take place, starting at the Market House in the Ancient Market Place. You’ll be given a fun education of the area, including Saxon Kings, local heroes and villains, as well as much more.
The Rose Theatre
In the centre of town you’ll find this modern theatre opened in 2008. It’s a relaxed environment and tickets are well priced. For those that find it uncomfortable to sit for an extended period of time, there’s even the option to bring your own cushion and watch from the floor at the front of the stage.
Eat by the Riverside
The Riverside development is a recently opened establishment that has a large variety of restaurants and pubs. All these places have a riverside view as well. If you are blessed with a sunny day, a picnic down by the river can be a perfect way to while away the hours. A popular spot is Canbury Gardens between The Boater’s pub and the railway bridge.
